morning , my problem apart from being 77, is this i am hoping to buy when i sell my 1dm2 body, a 5dm2 with 24/105L as a kit, i have just had a fancy for a canon 85mm 1.8. i have 50mm mk2, and an oldish 100 mm macro, which are around that focal length comments please, thanks regards alf.

I have the same camera/lens. The 24-105 is a great walkabout lens, the 5D2 being full frame makes the wide end useful. It is a sharp lens at
all apertures, but does suffer from chromatic aberration when shot into the light. It also suffers quite badly with barrel distortion at 24mm too, but
can be controlled.Regards
