    New Editing PC

For the first time in years I bought a PC ready built (apart from the storage drives which I added myself). Normally I build my PC's but after pricing up to build a new editing machine, I decided to buy an editing PC from Chillblast.
    Processor:Intel Core i9-12900K
    Graphics Card:NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB
    Memory:64GB DDR4 3200MHz
    Storage:1TB M.2 Gen 4 Solid State Drive
    Fractal Design Define 7 Case

At the time the price they quoted was cheaper than it would be for me to build it plus some of the components they used were not available so my spec would be compromised.
The machine arrived on the promised date and my first impression was how heavy it was, The case is built like a tank with large low speed fans lots of filters and sound deadening the net result is a virtually silent PC. The case is very adaptable with masses of expansion space. I added three hard drive totaling 20 TB ( have a huge number of picture stored).
Chillblast designed this PC specifically for photo/video editing and it certainly works. Photoshop and Lightroom are blisteringly fast I worked for most of my life in IT so I am very critical of IT products but I can find nothing to criticise with this piece of kit. The build quality is first class, the components used are top rate and the support is excellent. I contacted about configuring the adaptable case and the guy I spoke to, went the extra mile to help me. So what about Windows 11? No problems with it but I am disappointed that it still has omissions and there are still lot of old legacy bits in it. It does perform well and is ver configurable so you can make it work your way.
My final comment is that I am delighted with the PC and can recommend Chillblast unreservedly as a supplier of high quality kit..The bad news is that since I bought my PC the price has risen but I would still say that for the specification it is a bargain.

I've been using a Chillblast PC for quite a number of years. It's still running well though I have changed the original spinning HDD to an SSD. The spec isn't compatible with Win 11 which doesn't concern me at this time. Providing it continues to function until the time that Microsoft stop supporting Win10 I'll be a happy bunny. Unless of course the Adobe software I use ceases to be compatible with the PC build.
I too have had good experiences with the people at Chillblast when I've contacted them to discuss various upgrade paths. So much so if I was considering a new PC I wouldn't hesitate using them.

FYI Windows 10 will be supported until mid 2025. It is unlikely that you will experience any problems with Adobe or any other software on windows 10. To use car terminology, Windows 11 is a facelift but the basic chassis and engine are unchanged, which is a disappointment to techie geeks like me.
