    Powershot manual

As an all-around lightweight camera, I have purchased the Canon Powershot G7X. This camera has an abundance of features and possibilities for its size and price. However, although I have been using it for almost two years, I find it too complex to thoroughly familiarize myself with, mainly because of the condensed nature of its manual and the fact that many controls have multiple functions and many functions are touch-controlled. I am currently searching for a simpler manual, similar to those Nina Baily has authored for DSLRs, but so far had no luck. I would appreciate any information in this regard.
    Regards,
    Vasilis

Trev, you mean manuals by Canon or other parties? Canon's manuals are not the best in the world and I guess that this is what prompted EOS mag to publish manuals for all DSLRs (perhaps for Rs too).

I just looked for G7X manuals, assume they were Canon. Don’t know where you would get anything different

I'm in a similar position having replaced my trusty but aging G10 with a G5x ii.

The Canon manual is pretty useless as it tells you what selections do but not why you would use them nor does it provide hints and tips on setting it up.

I was anticipating a David Busch or Magic Lantern guide but none seem available.

Incidentally, that Amazon link led to the worst reviews of anything I've ever seen

            Cheers,
            John

              sorry....didn't recommend it...just worth a try...

perhaps it would be worth referring to Nina...there is a demand for a pocket book here.

No offence, but is there not a Idiots Guide, there seems to be one for everything else, including the one I got for my computer.
