From the manual I note that the filter size is 67mm via a filter adaptor. But I find that the 67mm filter is too large. Have I made a mistake somewhere? The filter I have bought would only fit my Tamron 17-50mm lens (now sold)

Nat you need a Canon Filter Adapter FA-DC67A.
A will cost about £25.00 from Amazon or a compatable one for about £10.00.

Thanks. I have got the adaptor but it will certainly not accept a 67mm filter, which is the one that would fit the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 lens (now sold as I have got the Canon 17-35mm f2.8L lens). Is there a mistake somewhere. I would expect the filter for this canon lens to be much smaller to fit the Canon filter adaptor. I have got the lens hood also for this compact camera but the one missing item is the filter,more for lens protection.
By the way,when is your next visit to Anglessey?
