    Cleaning an Icon

    Always wondered how the metallic discs covering the iconic Selfridges building in Birmingham are kept clean. Was walking past the other day and looked up to see a team of men abseiling down the side with buckets and cloths wiping each disc clean.
    Only had the little pocket Ixus (95 IS) which was at full stretch on a grey day to record this happening -

    That's great and well done. As they say, "don't leave home without it" - in this case a camera!

      Agreed - that's why I bought one of the smallest Ixus models - slips into a pocket and you hardly know it's there. Uses Canon ways of working which helps, and this one has an optical viewfinder (don't like one's without). And the battery life is amazing.....
