    Portmadoc- Welsh Highlands Railways

    I went to Portmadoc recently with my G15 and took these pics of the steam train. The settings was P & TV modes set at 1/125. ISO was on Auto and so was the WB. I trust the 503 problem will not prevent these pics from being posted.

      Take another look Brian. I had trouble posting due to the 503 problem

                Excellent pics. Nathaniel! Does make you wonder why we lug around our SLRs and kit, when a quality compact (and photographer!) can produce results like this. SLRs obviously have their place for specialist photography, but are not really necessary for general recording photography. (Ducks quickly below the parapet!!!)

                  Thanks Brian and Quentin. I am actually "loving" my G15, although I don't know whether I will replace my DSLR's with the compact.

                    I have taken that ride a few years ago.
                    I just love that soot smell on these "Great Little Trains of Wales".
