    Beddgelert-Exploring North Wales

On the way back from Caernafon, I noticed this little village called Beddgelert, which looked very pretty. So I thought I'd drive in and take a look around. All pics taken with the G15 on TV, ISO Auto,WB Auto.

Nice photos, Nat. Thanks for sharing your Welsh journey with us.
You may know it already, but this is the story of Beddgelert:

According to legend, Beddgelert is the resting place of Gelert, the faithful hound of the medieval Welsh Prince Llewelyn the Great.

I like Beddgelert ... and its steam trains and hills.

Thanks Ian,MX 5 .Yes, I was aware of the folklore but due to lack of time I did not visit this special site. Of course I have been making notes to re-visit one place at a time, when I get the "mood"! I have been combining a bit of "work" with pleasure and hence the time constraint.

I am also trying out my G15 to see how much I can 100% depend on it for holiday pics when I go abroad- esp at the long end.

P.S- YOu will note the absence of ugly street lights, lamp posts etc. An "unspoilt" village.

Unfortunately - just a story to attract visitors but nevertheless a wonderful story which has become a legend - but then again I'm extremely biased
