In Camera noise reduction- standard setting; Canon G15

I thought I 'd try out the in camera NR on the Canon G15 at a lecture (Hellins Lecture)last night, given by Canon Prof John Gibaut, Director of the world Council of churches. Let me know what you think. TV 1/15- 1/30, autoTV, auto ISO,auto WB

A little soft, but nicely exposed

      Thanks Tom.

I note that on the G15 I cannot use auto ISO when set to Manual. I have to set the ISO also manually. Is this the experience of other G15 owners? I don't have this problem with my DSLR (6D).

The little softness could be due to some problem with the transfer of the image from the computer to this thread- always had this problem on and off. The image on my computer is OK.

They are looking a bit soft but some of it could be the upload but it does look like the inbuilt NR has done its job

With my DSLR it is something i never have turned on ,preferring to use neat image if required in post processing

            Thanks Debs and Stan.

Has any member with a G15 tried a manual setting with auto ISO? As mentioned above I find that when I set my camera dial on Manual, the ISO has to be set manually as well. OR am I doing something wrong?

P.S Since writing this I have looked at the Expanded guide on the G15 by David Taylor and note that you cannot set auto ISO when in manual mode. So that clears up this question for me. (29/01/14)
