I'm looking at buying a bridge camera from my wife as shes getting the bug coming out with me, she doesn't want and DSLR ( thankfully ;0)) so I'm looking at good bridge cameras - I do like the look of the Fuji FinePix HS50 EXR and wondered if anyone had any experience with it or another good camera - I'm looking at spending around £500 max

I went through that scenario a few years ago ,,you might as well buy her a DSLR to start with as that's what she will end up with .trust me I have been there :-0( -

I've got the 30EXR, it's very good for a bridge. Nice picture, manual zoom, reasonable viewfinder.
My Wife l has the panasonic lumix (sorry I can't remember the model but it is 20mm to 1200mm) that is excellent for her needs.
