Nathaniel. I sold my Powershot to help fund my first DSLR. I found the vari-angle monitor was very handy for shooting candids. The subject wasn't aware of what I was doing.
Not sure about the wisdom of photographing soldiers though!

Hi! Ian. I agree with the Vari angle LCD. Also your comments re soldiers!!!! I have now sort of got used to taking my compact when I don't have any serious photography in mind. It is there if I need it.

This little camera is pretty competent - still trying to get used to the slight shutter delay though! Great for close up shots though which is the main use for me work wise.Comment

I am still learning to use this camera with TV/AV. On auto, it is easy and quite quick.
