Photoshop Elements 11

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 on my laptop to process my RAW files. Everything has worked fine until last week when I purchased a new EOS 70D and Elements 11 couldn't open the files. From my limited knowledge I suspect that I need to download the up to date Codec files for the 70D so that Elements 11 can read the RAW images.

Does anyone know if these are available and where I can find them as a search of both the Adobe and Canon websites has so far failed to turn anything up?

According to this - https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/k...d-cameras.html - you need version 8.2 of Camera Raw for 70D support.

But according to this - https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/...lications.html - it looks like your version of PSE only supports up to version 7.4. Which I think means your out of luck Support for the 70D looks to be present in version 12 and newer...

There is the Adobe DNG converter that may help but it would be a change in your workflow. Assuming you use windows, you can get it here - http://www.adobe.com/support/downloa...jsp?ftpID=5919

Not an optimal step but it may get you going. Hope this helps.

I have the 70d & elements 11 so to open my raw files I use the adobe DNG converter or open in the canon software. I did get Affinity Photo which does open the files but I' m not sure about it simpler because I've always used elements.
I'm thinking of getting the new Elements 14.
