    Small netbooks and DPP

I have a small Toshiba netbook nb205 and the screen resolution is very limited and Canon's DPP will not load or run on it. There is no way through control panel to increase the size for DPP. Other programs will alter the screen with a slider bar but DPP will not do that and will not install. So the hope of doing some processing in the field with the netbook and Canon's DPP program has been dashed!

    Howard,

There is a way - I found it for use on my Samsung Netbook

Check out an article I wrote here

I use Google Picasa for basic editing on my Linux Acer netbook.

I use Windows Live Photo Gallery.

It integrates into Vista x64 nicely and I can view all my Raw images, publish to a wide selection of image hosts - including Picasa and it also integrates with Microsoft ICE for advanced stitching and AutoCollage blender.

While it won't edit Raw files it will view, and auto convert the Raw file(s), resize and publish with 1 button, and photo email with 2.

Thank you, thank you Martin! Yes you are right and it works that way. I am installing the Canon programs right now. Again thank you for sharing with us.

Thanks for this Martin. It works on my Samsung NC10. Bought this for backing up Compact flash cards when away from home. Lightroom works too!
