Thanks Bob,Si Baker,Stephen for all your help. I have saved all my back ups on separate DVD's and these are kept separately. I have taken this precaution as one never knows,in this day and age, what virus or other could creep up and corrupt all my files. I hope saving my photos on DVD's is a sensible thing to do, rather than within the computer. Also I don't have much knowledge or expertise with computers,IT and all that sort of technology.
