Interesting one today, went to get some locations for a wedding next Friday and her indoors took the 5D as well. Slightly confusing when looking through the viewfinder, black as wotsit. Lens cap off.. yes. Mirror locked up.. no.
Took the lens off and the mirror was looking up at me from a rather unusual angle. Presumably the glue had given up the ghost.
I must admit Id never heard of this happening before but after a quick search it seems Canon USA recalled 5Ds a while ago for this problem. Has it happened to anybody else here before?
