back button 6D

I have used back button focus for many years, this morning I noticed when pressing the AF on button the camera metered and focussed,on checking the settings the ability to have the AF on button or the * button to focus only has disapeared. I have tried allways via the menu to cahnge this but to no avail.

Does anyone have any ideas please.

I have the same problem with my 5D MkIII. The camera locks exposure as well as focus.
With my old 5D Mk II it just locked focus, as I wanted. This is so annoying, I no longer use it!
