Double Back button focussing EOS 5DMk4

I have set my EOS 5dMk4 up with double back button focussing: On the AF-On button I have set it to single point focussing and the * button set to 9 point focussing/tracking, Most of my photography is birds. Looking for advice as to which 'Case' setting I should use for each of the two buttons.
    Regards

I think you start with descriptions of each case and then experiment to get the best results....I suspect you need sudden changes of direction but not subject coming towards you...and accelerating decelerating is not needed?

In the latest EOS Magazine (Jan 20) there is a whole article on taking pictures of birds in flight.
