I think an IXUS400, then a G7, followed by a 20D. (There's a Canon Hi8 video camera in there somewhere too, if they count. Between 2nd and 3rd I think.) I still have them all, but don't use them.

You could do amazing macro work with the G7 with either a Canon 250D close-up filter (via a LensMate adaptor) or a Raynox DCR250. Plus you could combine them for some very impressive results (but a lot more of a challenge).

BTW you can fit either of those on standard lenses to turn them into Macro lenses. You need to get the correct one of the Canon 250D/500D for the focal length of your lens and the correct filter thread. The Raynox fits a range of lenses. I quite like using the 250D on my 100 L Macro lens sometimes.

Actually forgot I had one of these. All of 3.3MP. Got a 1 gig card for it and the frame left counter stayed on 999 for ages till you took enough images.

10 D not long after it was introduced with 17- 40 L bought from Jessops, it came with an Adobe Elements disc and a 8gb CF card which if shooting Raw only held a few images so I bought with a 512 mb card £72

Canon A95 , it was a cracking little camera at the time . First DSLR was a 400D , I found it a bit limiting on the iso in the end , as I was /am often out at dusk and later waiting for Deer .

My first was a D30. It had 3.2 MP and cost around £2,500. Traded it in a couple of years later for a D60. Same price as the D30, but twice the MP at 6.4MP. A little miffed a year or so later when the 10D was announced ............. virtually the same spec as the D60, but the price was down to £999.

As an aside, I started with a 32MP Compact Flash Card and it cost £34. Then I upgraded to a 64MB card at £64; both of those cards were Canon. Then I started shooting in Raw and could only get around 10 images from the 64MB card, so I bought an IBM Microdrive which was around £1,000 and I remember that you could only touch them on the sides not top and bottom.

                          I still have them:

The original Digital Ixus, bought in 2001 (and now so ancient that Canon will not allow me to register it as part of my kit list on their web site). Then in 2009 SWMBO (noble girl) bought me my first DLSR, a 40D, for our trip to the Galapagos.
