Judging by the comment from people during the live show it would seem that the new equipment was getting favourable comments.
WEX and B&H are both taking pre orders approximately £4.2 k for the R5.
has any one got any idea on how much I could get for one of my kidneysPeter

A good set of stuff from Canon there - the two long lenses are particularly interesting.
I wish though they'd used the control layout from the RP - with the second command dial on the top where it falls under the thumb. This is how my Z6 works and I find it way more comfortable and usable than the position of that dial on the R5/R6. Having said that, if the R6 had existed when I went Full Frame I may well have made a different decision.EOS 7D mk II, Sigma 150-660C, Canon 17-85 EF-S, Tamron 10-24 and a wife who shares my obsession.

They've also dropped the mFn bar too....I know it wasn't popular initially on the R but I've grown to like using it.
Those f11 lenses shows a lot of trust in high ISOs....good value for the focal length....I hope they make an extender for the zooms as well as these telephotos at some point.Brian Vickers LRPS

I bought my wife an RP with the L 24-105 as her walkabout camera, keeping her 80D as the birding camera, but If the 800mm gets good reviews I can see her getting one of those as well. It won’t be good for active stuff but small stationary birds and grebes on the lake will be ideal targets for it,EOS 7D mk II, Sigma 150-660C, Canon 17-85 EF-S, Tamron 10-24 and a wife who shares my obsession.
