    How many Pixels do we need?

    I recently bought the R6 and therefore took the conscious decision that 20mp was enough, despite this being 10mp less than I have been used to with my 5D Mk IVs. Here are two versions of an image from the R6

    That’s a lovely pic Alan and no complaints about the resolution either, it shows excellent detail, all you need I think.

        I was quite happy with the 10Mp my 40D gave me - so much so that it was my go to camera for almost a decade. I mostly 'upgraded' to the 80D for the improved noise performance of more recent sensor/processor combos plus LCE had it a very serious discount in Black Friday event...

        Of course recent photos show that I can still be quite happy with just 3.2Mp...

          I actually get complaints from models that my camera/lens combinations show too much detail. BTW the picture was taken using the Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art lens on a Canon RF/EF adapter. Sigma glass is very good and far cheaper than Canon RF glass.
