    90D Now defunct

My 90D is just over two years old, searching the WEX site for replacement batteries I noticed that none of their listed stock stated that it was suitable for the 90D. I emailed them and got a very helpful answer hat no accessories are listed for the 90D because it's discontinued!! When existing stocks are gone - they're gone.
So what are they replacing it with or what's currently available from Canon at around that 1200 mark. Nothing. The 850D is almost a downgrade with much lower resolution at 400 less or the 6D which is a full frame so none of the EF-S lenses are any good.
Canon snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

Think you can get one from the EOS Magazine Shop. Have a look in the current edition

You can also get OEM replacements, they tend not to hold their charge so long but are much much cheaper.

I saw a post from Peta Pixels with their ten predictions for 2022, one of which was no more DSLRs from Canon or Nikon, another was the end of the Canon M series. On the face of it and if correct, that would be an end to the more affordable crop sensor cameras from Canon.

I use two Duracell's in my R5, no problems whatsoever.
