I've been reading up on the R7 to compliment my R6 for wildlife photography, to give me more 'reach' due to its crop sensor and high resolution.....but I've also read that diffraction softens the image at any aperture smaller than f5.5. I have my doubts about this because even the RF 100-500 has a modest wide aperture with f7.1 at the long end.
Of course diffraction is always present in any lens, but less of a problem with low res large sensors...hence I've had no problems with the R6 and f11 fixed aperture...or the f8 of the RF100-400.
Does anyone have any real world experience please?
