    Canon EOS IX

Thought I would show this piece of history - a Canon IX APS film camera. This would have been the equivalent of the G12 in its day I would guess. It has full AF and metering

Lens on the front is the 85mm f/1.8 which is just a little larger than the 50 f/1.8

It is fully working and has film - might just run some pictures through it :)

Not really for C&C just interest

I remember I had one of these, or was it an IX7? It was too small for my type of handling but I remember it well.

Interesting looking camera particularly with the 85mm on the front, I would be interested in seeing the results if you do decide to run a roll of film through it

Brian - Have you a camera museum ? A friend of mine has an amazing collection of cameras. Some really old ones, and some strange ones ...

I had a Noink APS which vanish during a break-in.

Ah APS - the technology they blame for sinking Kodak (well whoever writ an article I was reading recently about Kodaks problems) ... digital just aided the sinking process.

Ah but, APS lives on in the classification of sensor sizes, such APS-C & APS-H. It was just unlucky to evolve just before digital sensor became available in cameras.

Bet it looks super mean with your 400mm f2.8 strapped on to it.

Just happened to be on the back and I was too lazy to add the 2x as well :)

There is film in it .....

Looking at the subsequent picture, I think that sentence should have been 'Bet it looks super mean strapped to the back of the 400mm f2.8'. Definitely a case of the tail wagging the dog!
