Flashgun for a G9

Hi

Whats a sensible flashgun for a G9?
I have a 550ex but its bigger thatn the camera! Need just a general gun for indoors at a wedding reception.

I would think the 270EX would fit the bill but i would check that it works ok with the G9

Works perfectly with the G9. I bought it for that purpose a month or so ago.... a good buy. It's simple but exposure accuracy is excellent.

I used the 430EX on the G9 at the weekend to take some clothes shots for sale on eBay. IT works well but is very 'top heavy'.

I've used a 430EXII as well as been said a bit top heavy. If you wanting to stay light then keeping with Vanon there is the 220EX, just don't have bounce or zoom but both can fit in a small bag I used a Lowepro Rezo 110AW with room to spare. Any flash that you can use with Canon Digital cameras will be fine, just seeing which one is best for your needs.
