There are a lot of light-modyfying accessories for flashguns and most of them need mounting on the head of the flash unit in some way. Why doesn't Canon have a mounting system designed into the speedlites? Third parties then could design their accessories to fit this mounts. It could be something really simple like four pins or rails or a set of 3-4 threaded holes to allow for widest possible range of mounts. WDYT?

Hopefully - increased sales of flashguns. I think currently teh market of off-camera flash accessories is on the increase and a mounting system could further increase the appeal of flashguns.Comment
