Phoned Canon UK this morning, basically I was told that I was "unlucky" to have bought a faulty lens but it is not Canon policy to provide a FOC service after the 12 months warranty has expired. When I quoted the fit for purpose rights under the consumer act he was'nt interested. There was no interest in helping on any level, I suggested that if the camera was inspected and it was found to be user damage I would happily pay for repair, but would hope that if it was found to be equipment defect that Canon would reciprocate, this was dismissed as not part of Canon policy.Originally posted by hectorpaljr View Post
