    new lens

my current set up is 1d mk2 430ex 11 flash ,50mm 1.8, 70-300is usm, 105mm2.8 macro and when I`ve been taking shots at music nights at our local acoustic night I`ve often found I`m not able to get back far enough to get the shots I want; I`m thinking a wider lens but would still want some zoom capability so any recommendations please , Harvey

    What's your budget?
    24-105f4 or 24-70f2.8 maybe?

I know where there is a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS becoming available; I have just ordered a new 24-70mm f/4L IS and will be well inside your budget (~£420)

Sounds good but I don't want to get the f4 and think later I wish I'd got the f2f.8

That is the real decision now, which will probably need an increased budget to fund.

I always thought light was free .. until I got into photography.

I soon realised you have to pay for it ... aperture-wise.
              [ Canon 1DX ] [ 70-200 f2.8 L is II ] [ 300 f4 L is usm ] [ 50 mm f1.8 II ] [ 24-105 f4 L is ] [ Speedlite 430 ] [Yongnuo 568 ex II flash ] [ Yongnuo flash triggers ] [ Cokin P filters] [ Giottos Silk Road GYTL8384 carbon tripod ] [ Photoshop CS5 ] ... Wish list Canon EF 500 mm f/4 L IS USM.

In astronomy circles, this condition is called ADS (aperture disease syndrome)
