Canon 16-35 Mk2 f2.8 loose rings ?

Just got this lens second hand and wondering if its normal for the focus and distance rings to be loose moving up and down ?. The normal movement made sideways when focusing etc is tight with no lens creep.

This came up the other day with regards to the 24-105mm lens, I think they all get a bit loose in time, both my 16/35 and 24/105 are loose, its not a problem to me.

Thanks Trev, I had this happening on my old Mk1 24-105 L but I think it's a known common problem on that lens. I wasn't sure about the 16/35 though but as you say it's not really a problem.
