    Denoise AI

I've spent some time in recent weeks chasing a less than co-operative kingfisher on the nearby canal. I managed to get a few shots, but given the dull overcast weather we've had recently I've really had to push the ISO to get any reasonable DOF with a longish lens, and was not happy with the results. Topaz have been pushing Denoise AI really hard over recent weeks with a 25% discount, so I decided to treat myself. (BTW you can get a further discount with the various codes offered by Morganti and others and I ended up paying less than $51).

Neither are great images, but to illustrate what the software can do, these were shot on an R5 at 280mm f6.3 1/250 and ISO12800 - far higher than I would normally go at 15:45 on 23/12 - it was really getting dark. WDYT?

Usual disclaimer I have no financial interest in Topaz or Denoise AI.

Hi Russell, I purchased Denoise AI after following a free trial period. I was quite impressed with it and in my opinion it does an excellent job of reducing noise without too much degradation of the finished image.
