I've never done it but I think you need to investigate using an intervalometer, something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/Intervalome...2847484&sr=1-2
And I've just discovered that apparently my 80D is has a built-in time-lapse function! I wonder if I'll ever use it...Chris

I have one of those under a different make but as you I have never tried it either, please do post your results, i will be interested in seeing them.
