For the past 2yrs I've been using the EF24-70 F2.8L MKII lens on my EOS 6D but I've never really been that happy with it and certainly don't think it (or at least my copy) lives up to it's almost legendary reputation. Following a knock last year which required a visit to the Canon service centre to replace the filter thread, it was 'tested for focus & sharpness' and found to be OK but have have little faith in their service centre.
I've therefore decided to cut my losses and sell it. As someone pointed out on another forum they'd never had a lens they were initially unhappy with become a firm favourite at a later date.
I'm therefore considering the 24-105. Another option may be to see what reviews of the forthcoming Sigma 24-70 F2.8 Art lens which also has IS but is rumoured to be even heavier than the Canon.
Any thoughts folks?
