    Surfing

I heard about a surfing comp going on at the beach so it gave me a chance to dust off the 100-400. i knew reach would still be an issue so used the 1.4 converter as well. All taken at 560. Most of these are around 50/70% crops

Its not really my thing but i thought i would have a go. Could have done with better waves and I'm sure the guys were thinking the same

thanks Alan, Stan, Tom & Carol

I like the 4th but the 3rd is my pick.

Its interesting the guy in the 4th shot came up to me and asked if I got any with him and when I showed him asked if he could have some. I sent them and he's now changed the header image on his FB page to that shot :)

and Tom ...not a chance LOL

            thanks Carol

              Re: Surfing

Three and four are crackers. Looking at the picture it looks like you had quite even lighting which is handy for avoiding blowing the white highlights but the end result could do with a little contrast boost I feel.

cheers Brian...one day would love a trip to Portugal to get the "real" waves, but then I'd be needing a 800 and thats never going to happen

Nice set Ian, I like 3 with the water kicked up after the turn and also like 4 a lot, nice to see the 100-400 working well with the 1.4

You did a good job considering the lighting Ian. It looks like it was pretty cloudy that day! Makes it TOUGH to shoot action shots!

yeah it was awful day along with the surf as well but my local beach never has decent waves. But we all made do. Glad you liked them

I think you’ve done very well given that it looks to have been a bit of a dull day. A well captured series of action shots[emoji106]
