Good composition, looks a little soft around the eyes? Could just be how it's uploaded on here? Do you have Flickr?

      Re: Trial image

Firstly welcome to the forum Peter

Secondly, nice image but you really are best uploading from Flickr - it's easy and gives far better results than the over soft direct upload.

      Cheers,
      John

        Re: Trial image

Welcome to the forum peter ,I would also add that as it's quiet sharp around the tail ,the focus point hasn't been moved to the eye one of the first thing you learn with animals and birds is to get the eyes sharp .

            Re: Trial image

I really like the composition with the tail filling the frame nearest the viewer creating good interest, and then the eye gets drawn along the body to the nervous glance over the shoulder.

                  Re: Trial image

Agree with Jeff looks like the limited depth of field and focus being in the tail means the eye is a bit soft. And Flickr is defo best way to go for posting images.
