    Moon & planet

I've not had much time behind the camera recently but couldn't resist a shot of the moon and Jupiter last night. It's a shame that Jupiter is not just a little closer to the moon but I thought that an edit to address that niggle would be a step too far!

I saw this last night & told the misses it was Venus, wrong again. It was a tempting shot, but yours turned out so good I am glad I didn't take it.

Cheers Dave. I used Google Sky Map to make sure I knew what planet it was!

                Chris,
Great shot. What lens/magnification is this? I looked at the Flickr copy and the other one accompanying it, and it says the lens is 100-400, but the larger moon image says it's at 560mm ?
                Cheers

This shot was with the 100-400 at 390mm. The moon on its own was with the Kenko 1.4x.
