    Re: Bristol Floating Harbour

Impressed with that. I'm waiting for the M5 to be updated before considering a plunge into mirrorless. Rumoured specs for an M6 Mkii look good but I want a proper viewfinder.

    Re: 5DMKIV focussing screen

As mentioned before I did change my 40D screen but I've never been tempted with my 6D.
Something to be said for only having 11 focusing points - at least I know where I'm looking

    Re: 5DMKIV focussing screen

Did it on a 40D some time ago.
Easy to do with the gripper tool provided with the new screen.
Just keep everything away from the mirror!

Re: Camera Jungle-Very poor customer service

I sent them a 70-300 mk11 (not L) for a valuation & potential p/x. The offer was poor & I decided not to proceed and asked for the lens to be returned. After 2 weeks and about 5 phone calls they sent...

Re: One Shot or AI servo?

    Roy,
    Hope all goes well.
When you have the time I would recommend Back Button Focus. Once you've mastered it, there's no going back!

Re: You can checkout any time you like.....

Nice image. There last November but couldn't see across the bay because of the terrible fires to the north. A lot of places were closed.
Didn't have my Canon gear with me (hangs head in shame) just...
  8. Re: National Space Centre Leicester rocket tower.

I agree that it could be confusing but I was with 2 little boys who dash all over the place at the best of times.

In my post I should have said that I can’t show my images as they were NOT taken...
  9. Re: National Space Centre Leicester rocket tower.

    Nice set Roy.
Fairly local to me but only visited this year.
I agree with your comments about age groups - went with 2 young grandsons who enjoyed the experience having both recently been learning...

    Re: 6233 Duchess of Sutherland

I may be shot down with this but the smoke makes the shot in my view.
The visibility for the crew was often obscured by drifting smoke as the size of the boiler made a taller chimney impossible...

Fabulous photo of my favourite locomotive class!

    Re: Tornado returning the Bristol

    Nice shot.
Years ago railwaymen might have referred to the whole train as ‘The Bristol’ if that was its destination.

    Wow!
Not often you come across a scene like that.
