    Re: EF R?

I am having fun ith the R.

Now cut down the lens to RF24-105, RF35 (wonderfull lens ), EF100-400, EF100 macro, plus all the usual flash

One real bonus is that the R focuses at F11 - so this...

    Re: EF R?

My experience is that the picture quality is really good - and the extra switch to 1.6 is really excellent !!

    Re: Second body choice ?

I guess is deciding your needs. I have just sold my 1DX2 and replaced it with a R.

Some may question this move - however it meets MY needs.

    - I didn't need the speed

    - I did get, light...

    Re: RF35 Macro + rm14ef

The 35mm is a useful little lens!!

The benefit here is that it can be switched into a 50mm by changing to 1.6 mode. The picture quality is great and the f1.8 makes it easy to blur the background

    Re: RF35 Macro + rm14ef

I have the R for full frame and the M50 for 1.6 crop/faster frame rate pictures works very well.

I certainly fully recommend the R as the picture I get are better than the 1DX2 that I replaced.

Just thought I would mention that the RM 14EF flash fits on the 35mm R macro lens withoug any problem or update/modification

It fits on using no adapter - same fitting as on the EF-S 60mm. The...

Re: Canon to 'Pause' Development of EF lenses

I am not converned as the EF/EF-S lens fit on both the M and R, albeit with an adaptor. I an more surprised the Sigma and Tamron haven't taken advantage of this

    Thanks Robert :-)

It is a long time since I have new cameras - I do find the controls on the R rather complicated though.

    Re: I surrender !

I have looked hear for both the R and my M50 and neither show updats - looking at older camers such as the 7DII show updates.

So I am assuming that there are no firmware updates yet :like:

Re: Barn Owl with new Camera

The 1DX2 is really good at high ISO  - Love the pictures!!

At ISO 1000 the 1DX2 has no issue - in pact ISO6400 is still good  - Unlike the 7D2 which seems of start getting grainy...
