    Re: EOS 250D

Just had a thought; get the off shoe flash thingy ( about 50odd ) or you might be able to get an independent make. I know this is still extra expense but still cheaper than the hundreds difference...
  2. Re: EOS 5D MK3 underexposing by 1 or 2 stops - anybody else finding this?

I also own a 5D Mk III but have had no such problem. At first I thought it may be down to technique but you seem to have covered all bases!

Re: One Shot or AI servo?

Enjoy Brighton, I've already booked for a week next summer! It will be my third time. Don't forget the B.A. Tower. I went up it last year.

    Re: Is this forum dying?

I agree with most of what has been said. I'm not against post processing per se, in fact I would say that I'm almost jealous of those that are adept at it. Panoramas for instance is one thing that...

    Re: 10-18

I read somewhere that, if anything, the 10-18 was (is) slightly better in some respects to the 10-22. I bought my 10-22 a long while ago now but have always loved it; I was gobsmacked, in fact, as...

Re: New addition to my kit

Love the 'flying' Staffie! I had one of those and was similarly impressed. I only got rid when I bought the Canon L version!

    Re: 1.4 teleconverter

Some bodies focus at f/8 others don't.
Whatever you do, you cannot alter the fact that as you are altering the focal length then you also alter the aperture value.

Re: One Shot or AI servo?

Whenever I have done anything similar, I have used servo and multishot of my grand daughter coming towards me down a slide and managed 5or 6 shots all in focus, using centre spot focus.

    Re: Is this forum dying?

I don't post any photos because, wait for it, I do NO processing whatsoever. It all looks very complicated when I've read articles on it. Plus, I don't have a good enough computer ( only a lap-top )...

    Re: EF-s 10-18mm f4-5.6 Zoom

Surely the focusing happens AFTER zooming? ie when you press the shutter button.

    Re: 6D mkII v 60D

I would say the 6D II would be quite some way better than the 60D.
    a) Because of the larger sensor, and
    b) Because of the more advanced processor.
‘L’ lenses, I would say are usually (always)...

    Re: Aperture advice

Imho I would not shoot in P mode. Either manual or aperture priority. F/8, or F/11 should give you all the DOF required with your wide-angle lens.
  13. Re: 24-70mm 2.8 ...... Sigma Art or Canon ii ?

Personally I think there is some inconsistency issues with Tamron. When one of their lenses was first reviewed by a magazine it came top of the group. Later, when in another group test, another...

Re: EOS 100D battery nofication lost

Try pressing menu button (top left of camera). I just had a play and pressed A button; my battery indicator disappeared. I pressed the menu button a couple of times and it came back.

    Re: Countryfile

I quite liked the red squirrel shot and on the same thee, Nat's leaping rat should have been in there, deffo! Even though the focusing is slightly out.

Re: Never seen anything like this !

Never even seen a RED squirrel! Plenty of the grey ones, often very comical to watch. Once stood watching two of them in my mother's back garden chasing away the pigeons. ( We'd just come back from...

  23. Re: Canon 800D (T7i) newly released model. Is this Sigma lens compatible with my came

I think you are worrying too much. Buy which ever lens you can afford. Personally I would consider something like Canon's excellent 100mm f/2.0. I'm pretty sure that would be within your budget; and...

That last image Brian.... How apt that you posted it on "pancake day"
I have one of those collapsible rubber hoods on mine.
