Re: What passes for art today.

    I quite like it myself.

You can't please everyone, a lot of people don't like the pyramid at the Louvre.

For me that's a worthwhile edit. Image works much better in my humble opinion.

    Re: Early Morning Puffin

Not easy to capture, the early morning light/water is fantastic.

    Re: Chiffchaff

Agree, excellent image with fantastic detail. Only slight issue for me is the OOF object bottom left draws my eye.

Re: Strange issue... But not really?

Have seen something similar with my Sigma 150-600 when zooming to long end the 5D3 thinks aperture is still f5 and not 6.3. Doesn't seem to affect the images though as they seem correctly exposed.

Re: I think it's spotted me

Nice images of these charming owls. They were introduced into the UK in 19th century.

    Re: View down Glen Tilt

Tom's comments are spot on. Bracketing or use of grad ND filter would improve this type of image. Personally I think you could lose some of the foreground too.

    Re: Wizards Hat 2

My mum is 92 and has inoperable bladder cancer, really only a matter of time I'm afraid. Hope I can be as brave as her if I ever end up in a similar situation..

    Re: Wizards Hat 2

Thanks all for comments. Interesting to see the split in preference of the two images. Have some other images that I've yet to look at, been busy looking after my mum who has been very ill.
    Anyway...

Love dramatic skies. Nothing worse than clear blue sky for photography.
  21. Re: EOS 5D MK3 underexposing by 1 or 2 stops - anybody else finding this?

Hmm, I have a 5D3 and this isn't something I have experienced. I'll have a play over next few days and see if I can reproduce the issue.

Its a moth I really want to see. Looks like you've managed to get a decent image in what looks like flat light.

    Re: 5DMKIV focussing screen

Don't you have touch focus with the screen, so that you can touch the part of the image on the screen you want to focus on?
