    A misty river Frome

Another shot from my recent few days in Dorset. This time, early morning mist on the river Frome at Wareham.

    Re: Another Perfect Sunset.

It's a lovely sky but unfortunately the dark clouds a near the bottom blend into the tree line, so you can't tell where the trees end and the clouds start.

I also prefer the wider view but prefer the sky in the first one.

Nice shot Stan. If you hadn't explained it, I would have thought people had put the food there to attract the birds.

    Re: Emsworthy Mire Dartmoor

I like the second image but feel it is somewhat spoiled (or should that be spoilt ?) by that white sky. I think I would crop down from the top to eliminate some of the sky but can also see that you...

Not sure you’d need three nd grads in a ‘basic’ system. I’ve just got +3stop but with hindsight, maybe +2stop would have been a better choice. I have polarising filters but don’t really use them...

Looks good with the wide angle, making it really stand out from the background. Maybe tone down that foreground rock, bottom right though.

Thanks Trev. AlthoughI never got the Dartford warbler shots, I did get some shots of a nightjar resting on tree branch and it was still there 90mins later when I returned......and no it wasn't...

Very nice Stan, although maybe a bit tight at the top. I'm sure there must be a bird in there somewhere.

If you use a Wacom tablet or Spyder screen calibration, it’s recommended that you don’t upgrade yet until they properly test the new drivers.

I like these, especially the first three. Had you considered cropping the top right corner, down and in a bit, to eliminate the sky?
