    Re: Italian Chapel.

Hadn't heard about the vandalism. I just don't understand why anyone could destroy something like this. Lowlife indeed! Thank you for the nice comments.

    Italian Chapel.

A couple of the Italian Chapel on Orkney. This was built by Italian prisoners of war from whatever they could lay hands on. Amazing craftsmanship!

    Re: Snipes

Lovely shot Stan. I would point out that for some reason Snipe are always referred to in the singular. A flock is a "wisp of Snipe".

    Freak chaffinch.

This freak chaffinch appeared briefly at our feeders. Like most freaks it didn't last long and was probably predated by the local sparrowhawk.

Thanks for the positive comments. Not a wild one but I'm still pleased with the shot. Like I said, they are difficult to catch in a nice pose, wild or captive.

Like the pastel colours. It's almost poster like. I would have cropped in vertically on the window. Agree with the others about the wires.

I know it doesn't compare with some of the exotic wildlife on here but I can't afford to go to Africa etc.

This is the view from our front door. Blair Castle surrounded by autumn colours. We have lived here for 36 years and have never tired of looking at it. Taken with a Canon 77D and 18-200mm EFS.
