Re: Wifi remote shooting with a 5d MklV

I'm not sure that closing apps would make much, if any difference Brian. The Network speed is of course important, but the current standard in use, is plenty fast enough. I think its just the way the...

Wifi remote shooting with a 5d MklV

I have been experimenting with wifi remote shooting with my EOS 5D MklV.

Firstly, I tried using the Canon Connect app on my iPhone, and while it worked, there was too much of a delay between...

You will love it John. I've had mine a couple of years or so now, having moved up from the 5D3.

I have always calibrated my monitors, and currently use the Datacolour Spyder 5 Pro system.

However, it is only valid for what I see, and print, as it is likely that the vast majority of monitors...

With commercially produced DVDs (Feature films etc), the 'pits' and 'lands' (Binary ones and zeros) are pressed into the substrate, and as such will have a nice clean square shape. Correctly stored,...

    Re: Lens prices....how much!!!

I bought a new EF 100-400L Mkll, when it was first released, and it cost 2k. Shortly after it dropped to 1800. Now I see its jumped up to 2049.

    Re: Printing Paper

    An interesting post Colin.

I have three printers, Canon ix6850 (A3), Canon 7250 (A4), and a very old Epson Stylus Photo R300, which must be getting on for 15 years old, and still going strong.

    Re: 7D3

I bought a 7D Mkll to compliment my then 5D Mklll, but I didn't keep it very long, as I was really disappointed with its poor noise performance at high ISO.

I expected the 7D2 to be an improvement...

Its a filthy disease, and a tough fight if you get it, but it can be won.

Re: 5D4 High ISO v Low Noise performance.

That's the trade in price I was offered for my 5D3, but then sold it to a friend at that price. Didn't get a free battery grip when I bought the 5D4 from WEX, but I did when I bought the 5D3.

    I...

Re: 5D4 High ISO v Low Noise performance.

It is an expensive buy, not helped by the poor strength of against the Yen.

I sold my 5D3, and traded a nearly new 7Dll to soften the blow, albeit it still left a sizeable chunk of money to pay...
