    Re: Trip to Sharjah

That's a nice set and idea. I like the detail shots like the e ticket and meal in with the street reportage style airport pics. The porters in the baggage hall is my fave pic. The uniformity in...

    Re: Torquay Harbour at Night

Nice shot. Maybe because it's so wide the perspective is a bit off rather than the horizon? You could try free transform in PS and tweak it that way?

    Re: Another Photographic Qualification

Well done to the both of you! I tried for the same award and failed dismally on Sunday which is obviously a bit disappointing.

Re: Where was the Magna Carta signed?

Nice shot. My wife's aunt and uncle used to live in Old Windsor, it's a nice area around there with the great park.

Re: Who bothers to have their own website ?

    That made me smile.

I've got a website. I made it about a year ago but only actually told anyone about it very recently when I decided to get on with it. I did it on a bit of a whim...

    Re: XXXXD, XXXD v CSC

Very true. But luckily all manufacturers have outstanding glass, albeit at a price.

    Re: XXXXD, XXXD v CSC

Talking about sensor quality I saw this somewhere else talking about the latest Nikon. Considering the Sony is 2 years old in a lab at least it's sensor is better than both Canon and Nikon. As much...

    Re: New glass announced ...

Reading into it quickly it appears that the TSE are all macro lenses. So by tilting you'd overcome the need to stack I guess.

Which begs the question why have you upgraded 3 times?

    Re: XXXXD, XXXD v CSC

Having switched a while ago I'd agree that it is a style choice. But I'd disagree that CSC's whilst are the price of xD Canon's perform like xxxD ones.

Certainly if you are into sport or wildlife...

    Re: Shingle Street

I like this a lot. Not sure that I agree about the cottage though. That said I wouldn't clone it out, but if it wasn't there I don't think the pic would miss it.

Re: Travels with a Full Frame Camera

With a 6D with two lenses I'd take a 16-35 F4 and the 70-300L. They both work really well with it and were my mainstays. I sold my 24-105 because it got virtually no use once I had the 16-35. The...

Re: Does it make sense to buy new

I've used HDEW and Panamoz and I would have no qualms about using either again. I've not needed it but Panamoz have a 3 year warranty in the UK. They also seem to have a wider range.

    Re: 6D MkII

The 5D3 is significantly cheaper than it was though. And for whatever reason there will be people that see the 6D2 in the same way as it's predecessor. Won't be happy with the smaller form, a...

    Re: 6D MkII

I think this will be a cracking camera provided the size/weight doesn't increase. Improved AF not that I needed it would be appreciated by many. If the IQ is even better then what's not to like...

    Re: Poppies Mallorca

That's a really nice shot. Have you considered cropping the bottom so the sky and poppies are symmetrical? If you come in and up from bottom right it brings the highest end of the middle trees down...

    Re: Maybe Goodbye and Thankyou

I've bought a 3 month old A7R2. If I can get used to the layout and sort out the menus to how I want to use it I'm expecting it to be fine. It's coming with 5 batteries and a grip and L plate so...

    Maybe Goodbye and Thankyou

    Hi All,

I'm getting an almost new Sony tomorrow, my Metabones adapter arrived today. If it works out well I will in due course sell my 6D which means I will no longer be able to post images on...

Thanks for taking the time to comment Guys. I probably didn't try pulling the sky because I normally do it by channel and either shifting the saturation or luminance of the blue would mess with the...
