    Re: Roebling's Delaware Aqueduct

Good composition of an interesting bridge that works so well in mono. The exposure looks fine to me

    Re: Coton Manor Northamptonshire.

Good composition of a lovely garden with a nice reflection in the water. Perhaps the clouds are a bit blown but it's still a very pleasing image

    Re: Mablethorpe beach

The mono has produced a quite different image as it emphasises the clouds (revealing a nice curl to them) and the lines of the sea and beach. Love it

    Re: Manhattan Skyline.

With such a good view and some great clouds it should be possible to produce a very decent image but, as Bo said, it's too dark and, for me, the edit hasn't really worked. Sorry :(

    Re: Torbay Sunrise

    Thanks folks

I do a lot of 'big sky' images which are usually stitched portraits but this one is a 24mm landscape. It was seven shots merged to HDR in Aurora 2019 but processed to minimise...

    Torbay Sunrise

I haven't posted one of these for a while so here's one taken this morning:

    Re: Scorehill Dartmoor

That's a great image as it has colour, texture and composition (although maybe consider cropping a bit off the top to give a margin equal to the sides?).

Re: What for the short list?

My 25 year award was 200 and I spent it on a Canon EOS body and lens... an EOS 650 and EF 35-105 but that was way back in 1988 soon after the autofocus 650, the first in the now very long EOS line,...

    Re: Loughborough Station today.

Very good! An interesting subject, ideal for mono, perfect symmetry, lovely sky and not too many distracting muggles

Some may comment on the verticals needing a push but not me, oh dear...

    Re: Bonehill Rocks Dartmoor

Really good! A nice path leading the eye into the scene, some texture from the rocks, colour from the bracken and sky interest all combine to make a lovely picture  (although I'd have lost...

    The Torbay Express at Hollicombe...

I wasn't going to bother with this as I've posted so many from the same spot but, on reflection, think this may be the only streak shot and posted from here.

    Re: Gettin the Harvest in

Very well captured and a good demonstration that a colour image doesn't needs lots of different colours to be successful

    Re: Tower Bridge at night

A really interesting, well considered, composed and exposed set

A little bit of noise in the sky but at ISO 25,600? I think that may be forgiven

    Re: 'The Torbay Express'

    Very well captured Colin

I didn't make it out to see it so had to be content with a 'bottom of the garden' shot but as I've posted so many from there the location is a bit tired now I...

    Re: Trentham Gardens sculptures

Two very nice pictures of some good sculptural additions to the garden. I like the fairy as a design and the background blur brings it out well. The composition of the second is right on the money...

    Re: Porthgain Pembrokeshire

That's lovely and a place I don't know. I've been to Pembroke a few times but never really explored but will put that right in future.

I would have lost the people too.

    Re: Mablethorpe beach

Two very different shots. The first shows how man can intrude on and detract from natural beauty while the second shows that nature wins hands down. That said I like the idea of using the path and...

    Re: Mealasta Beach

Lots of lovely colours and textures there with the stream leading the eye nicely to the sea so, yes I do like it. I'm just not sure about the boulder in the foreground which, as nice as it is, does...

    Re: Mealasta Beach Long Exposure

I like that and it works particularly well in a square aspect. There is something frustratingly familiar about it that I can't quite put my finger on; perhaps it's the aspect but I'm thinking record...

    Re: Lincolnshire blue hour

I liked the original but did think the edit was stronger as it placed the pole (which, I also thought an essential element) on a third and removed the fence post. I would have cloned the contrail...
