    best online printers?

Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, or if its already somewhere else on the forum, but i couldnt find anything relevant when looking....

Any favourite online printers? Is it worth going to the more professional printers rather than the cheaper printers?

To be honest I've used Loxley Colour (considered one of the best in the country) and I have used Photobox (one of the cheapest in the country). I don't see much difference. I really like Photobox for the price/quality.

I do still use Loxley for a specific job that absolutely has to be right but PBox have not let me down.

I haven't used any online printers yet. I am putting a book together and having read a comparative review in the October Digital Photo magazine, which suggests Albelli (though not the cheapest but probably the best quality) I am planning to try them. Does anyone have any experience of them - I would be very interested in any feedback please.

Having played with the software from several sources, Albelli's seems the easiest and most flexible to play around with page layout and image sizes on a page.

My friend highly recommends DS Colour labs in Manchester (I've yet to try them but based on my friends recommendation I told another friend who sent a batch to test their quality and told me last week that these are the best quality he's had back to date and also were very good value for money)

I add another vote for PhotoBox - I've had a number of images printed with them over the last few years - large(ish) format, panoramas & canvases... The very few times I've had a print problem, they re-printed FoC very quickly. Customer service IMO is excellent... Highly recommended... Only downside to PhotoBox is that they do not provide true large-format printing... And so...

I can also recommend CustomCard for large-format and poster-sized prints... I've just had a bunch done for an upcoming family-wedding... These were very old (typically embarrasing ) images scanned at high-resolution and tarted up as much as possible in PS... The final posters at A1 and a few at A0 are fantastic in comparison with the poor originals... Again; customer service was excellent throughout the enquiry, order & printing process; I will certainly be trying them for my next large-format prints...
