Some photos from today (50mm f/1.8)

These were taken with an EF 50mm f/1.8, so I apologise for the spider shots not being done with a proper macro lens (I don't have one) :-)

On a side note, I'm having a real hard time getting any decent landscape shots with the 50mm f/1.8, particularly areas with lots of foliage. Is it just that the 50 isn't really ideal, or that I'm in need of lots more practice?

Nothing wrong with it on the spider shots imho. They look good enough for me to check the floor.

Like all of them although the spider would be better on a leaf or something natural. 50mm (80mm EFL) is probably a bit long for some landscapes. Most of mine are between 14-50 EFL.

Lab in the river is a great shot - the other two are. . . . . . 'spiders' . . . . #3 is a very good clear shot, not sure I would have braved it with the 50mm though

Very good - my daughter would faint at the spider ones - so clear!

I love the Lab shot, but I am a sucker for most Labrador photo's.

The spider shots are quite amazing, especially from a nifty fifty. They hold no fear for me and it is part of my duties to remove them from the house to outside, but I do question the need to have 6 or more eyes.

Many years ago I had a Teacher with eyes in the back of her head ................ always thought she was a spider!

My physics teacher had similar abilities, he was also uncannily accurate at throwing chalk. I was very surprised at how well the spider images turned out. :)

Nice set it might not be a macro but they have plenty of detail.
