    Faux Colour IR Photo



    I'm never sure about these IR photos but they're interesting to have go at. This is a faux colour shot processed by swapping the blue and red channels, and altering hue/saturation in Photoshop.

    A 720nm filter was used for the image.

    Wow!!! Wow!! Wow!, did I say "Wow"
    That my first thought when I saw the image.
    Although everything about the colours is false it is actually very, very good and realistic.
    The detail is also superb.

      I like that, but I am thinking it's crying out for the full Black & White treatment.

        what a striking shot.
        I do see what Colin means though. That tree is crying out for a BW.

            I'm new to this forum, been taking photos for many years. Just bought my first Cannon, & joined this forum. Would like to echo the earlier comments "WOW" this is a truly astounding photo! Must try IR myself some time. Thanks for sharing it with every one
