    I like the way the roses are backlit but the backgrounds are a bit messy, although with such as climbing roses just to isolate a single head would be quite difficult

      agree with above comment - I like the backlit shot. Clothes pegs are very useful for getting rid of intruding greenery - or secateurs if it's in your own garden!

        I try to separate the gardening from the photography!!! Too much time is spent with secateurs and other sharp implemennts and not enough with the camera!!!
