    My first 12-24 EX DG was awful (as confirmed by Sigma UK) but my replacement was fine - a truly fine lens if they can get their QC right. Other Sigmas I have have been fine, so I think build quality is up overall from what I hear. I can particularly recommend the 10-20 f3.5/4.5 and 18-50 f2.8 EX DC and the 75-300 f4/5.6 EX GD APO. Their macro lenses are good too. I have an EX DG 24-70 f2.8, which is bulky and whilst not as good optically as the Canon L versions is pretty good and excellent VFM. Gary
