Thanks Mike and Stephen. Got to say I like it as well. Theres no secret formulae..I was shooting the annual shindig and saw this young lad, conconcentrating like mad, trying to get the bails back on so I just shot two frames - in fact I got a free curry for this one! Maybe my first sale!
I just hang around the cricket club in a comfy chair with a beer, and shoot away...theres no magic to it..Im no expert, just shoot what I see

Actually its not the subject that caught my attention ... it's another fine example of what the 100-400 can do flat out at it's 400 end (oh and on a 7D). So technically I like it.

Really nice pair of shots Robin - #1 especially is great. Good story in just the shot - no narrative required. Perfectly captured, with a nice curry.

#2 - I reckon the batsman missed the ball as it had built up a speed going down that hill!

Both superb though, and as stated, that 100-400 seems to be working well for you!
