    HDR Riley

My first (real) attempt at HDR. Using DPP’s HDR tool. This is the ‘Vivid’ sample.
I know there’s many that may think this ‘a hideous disgusting result!’, but I like it, even the fact that the people have moved in the background (very inconsiderate of them!)
This was taken, hand-held on my 60D. EF17-40L. (at 17mm)
    AE..1/2500 f4 ISO125

Love the colors, shadows, mid tones & highlights are all evenly exposed. I believe that HDR works well for this photo

Too right BUT it works for a 1930's era motor car ... that 'Technicolor look'.

Ah humans I know what you mean

Strangely my eye is drawn to the two American cars behind ... strange because if I had to choose it would be Moggy (no not the Moggy 1000 at the side but the Moggy in the middle!!).

              Love that HDR!!!!!!!!!!

You do realise you could produce 3 images from one of your originals and merge those? You would avoid the moving persons ghosting.

I think it's well documented that I am not a lover of HDR, but done well, I can certainly appreciate them. These don't scream HDR at me and they have worked very well for the subjects, well done.

Love that Morgan, especially in that gunmetal grey.

Thanks again, this will certainly not be the last time I try HDR. I do like the saturation it gives.
