    Shooting Tethered With 5D MarkII

Earlier this year you were helpful pointing me in the right direction for tethered shooting, but now I have a problem doing it.

Using EOS Utility and DPP software I can get a preview of the shot I just took and I can see a thumbnail of it in DPP. What I can't seem to do, however, is flip backwards and forwards to compare previews of several photographs.

What I'm trying to do is use this to support lectures I give. I want to shoot and show the group how changing the lighting or pose has changed the appearance of the photograph. To do this successfully really calls for me to flip backwards and forwards.

I'm sure I'm missing something here. Can anyone help, please?

    Many thanks

Not really. I'm not sure if it would work (it's actually EOS Utility that shows the preview) but in any case I may need to move between several. It's a clunky solution, but I do appreciate you trying to help.

I don't use DPP so can't really comment on that but if you are prepared to spend some £'s then Lightroom will do what you want. Also what about just using DPP to take the shots and Windows photo viewer to flip through the images in the folder?

I'm trying it again this morning. Now the lens seems to be "chattering" as it struggles to focus - which is odd because there was no problem yesterday. I've switched it off and disconnected until someone can come up with sound suggestions based on actual experience of using EOS Utility and DPP.

I use Bridge/CS5, not Lightroom, and I will not be buying Lightroom. This particular use isn't worth it, I'm afraid.
